Just Jiji

With Halloween fast approaching, I really wanted to turn my crochet attention to something fun, whimsical, and different than anything else I’ve done before.

For me, that meant diving into the world of the magical! But not just any sort of magic. It needed to be that special brand of tripping over yourself, bumbling through mistake after mistake brand of magic–and who better to represent that than Kiki.

For those who aren’t familiar with Kiki’s Delivery Service, you can get a small glimpse into her world down below!

Kiki is super cute but working ami figures isn’t something I love to do–trust me, I never finish the ami figures I start–so I decided instead to focus on her black cat, Jiji. He looked small enough for me to tackle–AND FINISH!!–and how can anyone resist an adorable kitty!

Isn’t he cute!!

What I ended up with was something that I think is almost as good as the real thing!
