I think I am going to try this pattern next. I do like the other boots pattern but I like that this one has a heel to it.

Are you making 2 soles for each boot or just one?

You’re only making one sole per shoe.

What do you mean by “center of the back of the sole”? The heel? I am new to crochet and am so confused.

Yes. The ‘center back’ of the sole is the same as the middle of the heel.

How does a left handed person do a reverse single crochet stitch since we do everything from left to right?

What are the sizes? Are they for infants, toddlers, children? I have a friend who wants me to make them for a toddler sized 5. Not sure what size that would be.

  5. […] cowboy boots are from The Lovely Crow’s pattern. You can use a similar (free) pattern from HodgePodge Crochet. These cute boots work up pretty quickly. The Lovely Crow’s pattern is very easy to follow. […]

I would like to take this time to thank you for this free boot pattern. I have searched and searched for a cowboy boot pattern can’t wait to get a pair made to go with the cowboy hat I have made. My great great niece was just born this mornin 9-26-2014. Her mom and dad live on a ranch and are very western I know that she will be in total surprise to get them. Again thanks very much for the free pattern.

    Hi

I’ve used your old pattern several times and I usually always go wrong on the heel part, my fault I’m sure! I also normally adjust the increases by eye, if you know what I mean, and not by counting stitches. I’m just about to make a pair using your new pattern… Fingers crossed I get the heel right this time around!

Love the little boots and have made them for my little grandson and for several new babies here in our little Spanish village. I match them here with a little drivers/flat cap….as the men here tend to wear them while out riding. They are a great hit and everyone talks about them.

In order to print out this pattern you’ll have to download it first from Craftsy or Ravelry. Both sites are free to join and the pattern is free to download.

I’ve tried and tried to download the pattern on both ravelry and craftsy with no luck and lots of frustration. I’ve already made a cowboy hat and need the boots to match! any suggestions would be helpful!

Hey Jennifer. I’m really sorry to hear you are struggling so much!!! It sounds like there is something going on with your computer that is preventing you from downloading. Craftsy has AMAZING customer service and I recommend giving them a call so that they can walk you through the steps needed to get your downloads working! Whenever I call them the first thing they tell me to do is to make sure I’m using Chrome. Then they ask me to clear my cache, log out of Craftsy, close my browser, reopen it and then log back in and try again. It’s worth a shot to see if that does the trick! I’d email it to you but I really prefer it if you download it from one of their sites just in case I ever update it in the future, you will get an automatic fresh copy along with an email alerting you to the pattern update.

Made your adorable boots with the old pattern once. They came out okay with a bit of head scratching. Can not wait to try out the new pattern. Thank you!
