A good friend of mine recently started up a blog, Jose Crochet, and she was kind enough to feature my loopy boots after crocheting several pairs of her own! Aren’t these yummy!

I’m in love with these little booties and I’ve altered the pattern quite a bit since I blogged my original pattern. So, I thought it would be an excellent time for a pattern revisit!

love these boots so much! thank you for the free pattern/tutorial!! quick question, on the first pic (the grayish with red accents) how did you do that little red line near the sole of the bootie? it’s an adorable add-on!

Sadly, those booties are not my creation but are the shoes of a friend of mine! She’s amazing with yarn and hooks, lol. If you follow the link to her blog she might have some tips for you!

I think this is the most adorable pair of booties ever! I think my gauge is off though because my 5.0 mm hook produced an insole 5″ in length but I repurposed those soles and made some bigger cammo “jungle” boots for an older nephew 🙂 I’ll try again tonight to make some smaller ones!

Over 28 years ago I received a pair of Cowboy boot booties as a gift for my son when he was born. I still have them and have tried numerous times to reproduce them to no avail. Now I am a Grandma and Great Aunt and i just made a pink/brown pair for my great niece! Thank you so much for the Tutorial!

Hello I love this pattern! I did want to mention I added a feature to it though. I did a double loop on each loop round it seemed to make the boot b=much thicker and sturdier and just a fuller look all together 🙂 I would love to post a photo but not sure that I have the option

I’m a beginner, so not sure how I would adjust the pattern to fit a 6 month old, so I thought I’d ask if the pattern is available in larger sizes?

If you follow the pattern for the size large they should fit without a problem. That sole measures approximately 4″ which should give you enough wiggle room to fit a baby aged 6-12 months 🙂

I do not see the size for these, how big of a baby will these fit? I have a toddler so I want to adjust the pattern to fit a size 6 shoe

Love this pattern! I’ve made two pairs of these now. One for my baby-to-be, and the other pair for a friend. Since her baby will be about 6 months old by the time winter hits again, I simply used an h hook for the whole pattern and they turned out quite a bit bigger and should fit 3-6 or more. (Haven’t tested it out yet, but it looks like the will fit just perfectly.) Thank you for posting this pattern! Very cute and I had zero issues with anything.

I would like to thank you very much for this turotial. Together with the video turorials from your earlier post I managed to make a set of these boots!
I posted them just a few minutes ago on my blog: http://roeltjes-stempelhoekje.blogspot.nl/. The blog is in Dutch, but the photo’s will speak for themselves. I didn’t know where else to leave a comment with a link, I don’t use facebook, one blog is much to addicting already 😉
I even learned how to crochet because of these boots 🙂 !

There is always a way to size things up. If you search through my blog and the other bootie/slipper patterns, you can use those and the rules for the loop parts still apply.

I made these boots in a few hours and they turned out amazingly cute buti was wondering Do u have the sole you use for this pattern in adult size I love the sole on this shoe and want to use it on another pattern but am unsure of how to inlarge it. This sole pattern is much nicer then most other patterns and much simpler 🙂

I use a sole pattern put out by Bernat (you can find that link in the adult slipper post). It’s fast and super simple to work up!

Thank you so much for posting this pattern for free and for the video tutorials! I used an I hook and doubled up my yarn (Red Heart Super Saver) for the entire pattern and these fit my 12 month-old perfectly! Thanks again!

Hi. I am still having trouble with the first 4 rows of the pattern. I even had a friend who is a long time crocheter try the pattern and she agrees something is off. Is there anyway you could put the # of expected stitches at the end of the rows? Thank you!

Hey KT! You were absolutely right! I forgot to add a critical part in round 3. That happens when you don’t get a tester to run through a pattern 😉
I’ve fixed it and it should work without a problem for you. Let me know if it’s still giving you an issue!

Hi. One more thing please. On the Instep, Round 4’s instructions run together with Round 5’s instructions. If I am reading the present instep correct’s right, Round 4 is: 1 sc in next 12 sts, [sk next st, sc in next st, sc in next st. Round 5 is: 1 sc in next 11 sts, sk next st, 1 sc in next 3 sts, sk next st, 1 sc in the next 10 sts, 1 sc in the first sc of round, sl st in next st, finish off. Is Round 4 of the Instep instructions complete or missing something please?

I’m not sure what happened there. The behind the scenes version (the one I just updated a couple days ago) showed the correct pattern. When I edited it the last time, it must have saved weird.
I just updated it all–again–and now it looks right. Sorry about that! I owe your eagle eye a huge debt of thanks! 🙂
