I’ve finally finished the long awaited butterfly and I owe a huge THANK YOU to my wonderful testers who patiently waded through all the frogs with me and ironed out all the wrinkles!
I’m really pleased with the way this one turned out. It started as a monster and now it’s simple enough for really anyone to tackle. I hope you have as much fun turning your kids into butterflies as I did!
You can find the Butterfly Baby Photo Prop at Craftsy!
Also available on Craftsy is the Butterfly Baby COCOON ONLY. Perfect for those who are looking to whip up a gorgeous gift for a shower or new baby!

Do u have a how to video that helps explain how to make this im a little confused after making the first MC then when it comes to making the circle things
Send me an email to hodgepodgecrochet@gmail.com with the section you need help with and we’ll tackle it together!
I was wondering if you could help explain how it attaches please? It looks beautiful!
Thanks for the question!
The prop is designed to lie flat so there really isn’t a need to attach them to the cocoon. Also, it’s designed for a wide range of children. The cocoon is meant for small babies but these wings would work for older children up to three years of age–they are quite large and dramatic!
You could add a couple of buttons however and simply button them to the cocoon if you’d like
Those wings are absolutely gorgeous.
